About Cooper D Rodgers

Cooper Rodgers is originally from Leawood, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. After attaining his undergraduate degree, Cooper returned to the Kansas City Area to study medicine at the University of Kansas. As a medical student, Cooper became passionate about the field of ophthalmology through his research in glaucoma and through experiences which showed him the positive impact of eye surgery on patient quality of life.

In his spare time, Cooper enjoys running, weightlifting, kayaking, and SEC football. Cooper is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Gator Nation for both his preliminary medicine year and ophthalmology residency training. He is especially looking forward to making new friends and learning the skills needed to preserve the vision of his future patients.
