About Ramak Roohipourmoallai
Dr Ramak Roohipourmoalli is a UF health ophthalmologist. She has practiced ophthalmology since 2004 and specializes in the management of vitreoretinal diseases, vitreoretinal surgery, and pediatric retinal disease.
After earning her medical degree at Tehran Azad University in Iran in 2000, she completed a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in retinal disease at Farabi eye hospital, Tehran University of Medical University (TUMS), where she later served as director of residency training program and the head of retinopathy of prematurity department. She also completed her fellowship in vitreoretinal research at Massachusetts Eye and Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Roohipourmoallai’s clinical interest include eye problems specifically vitreoretinal problems in adults and children.
She has conducted several clinical trials and has co-authored over 75 peer -reviewed articles and book chapters related to retina and vision science. Her other clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, age related macular degeneration, management of complex retinal detachment and macular surgery.
