Finding cures for eye diseases

Researchers and clinicians in the Department of Ophthalmology at UF are engaged in cutting-edge research that strives to prevent and treat blinding eye conditions. Please review our website for more details about our research activities.

Patient Care

UF Ophthalmology physicians treat patients with a wide variety of ocular conditions from comprehensive eye examinations to complex ocular conditions. We are a referral site for a large geographic area. Providing world class eye care requires constantly upgrading our equipment to diagnose and treat the entire spectrum of eye disease. Your support allows us to optimally care for patients that need our help.

Education

Our resident and fellow training programs attract physicians from the best medical schools and transforms aspiring eye doctors into world class ophthalmologists that help people all over the country. Your support of educational funds allows us to provide them with the tools and equipment necessary for an exceptional training program. You can also make a tremendous difference to future generations of trainees and patients by establishing a named fund with perpetual support. Endowed Chair or Professorship

Exemplified by world-class scholarship and instruction, endowed chairs and professorships are among the most significant awards conferred to our Department of Ophthalmology faculty.
