The UF Health Eye Specialties Comprehensive Eye Service provides basic diagnostic, medical, and surgical services, evaluation of patients who may have visual loss or complaints, but do not have a diagnosis, and glasses and basic contact lens prescriptions.
We offer both Cosmetic contact lens services including the treatment of myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia with both soft and rigid lenses and Speciality fittings including the management of keratoconus, corneal scars, corneal transplants, and aphakia.
We are Florida’s major referral center for dry eyes, herpetic eye disease and corneal dystrophies, such as Fuch’s dystrophy and lattice dystrophy. We offer the latest techniques in anterior segment surgery including cataract surgery, corneal transplants and refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, LASEK, INTACs).
We are a regional center for pediatric glaucoma care. UF ophthalmologists offer treatments for trabeculectomies with the use of antifibrotic agents and perform cataract surgery and a variety of laser surgeries for glaucoma patients.
The field of neuro-ophthalmology is concentrated on neurological diseases affecting the visual and ocular motor system. Through our relationship with UF neurologists, neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons we offer the most advanced treatment options for optic nerve diseases.
These cases include repair of entropion and ectropion, blepharoplasty, lacrimal surgery, and ptosis repair. Special emphasis is placed on orbital surgery, as well as the repair of traumatic floor fractures of the orbit and lid lacerations.
UF ophthalmologists who specialize in pediatric ophthalmology/ocular motility treat thousands of patients annually for strabismus, cataracts, glaucoma, tumors, and congenital eye diseases. Services are provided at UF Health Eye Center – Hampton Oaks.
iLASIK is the most advanced LASIK procedure available. It is performed by combining bladeless corneal flap creation and customized corneal correction based on a “fingerprint” of your eye. UF Refractive Surgery Center is currently the only provider of iLASIK in the area.
The vitreoretinal service provides state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for patients of all ages with diseases of the retina, macula and vitreous.
We have a team dedicated to providing your child with a comprehensive eye examination. Our eye care team is led by our pediatric ophthalmologists, Dr. Swati Agarwal and Dr. Casey Beal and our orthoptists.
The first visit to the ophthalmologist is a comprehensive evaluation that will take about one and a half hours. Your visit may take longer if you need specialized testing or have complex eye problems.
We are dedicated to providing our patients with exceptional doctors . You can also request an appointment by calling (352) 733-0111 between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.
