The UF Health Eye Specialties Comprehensive Eye Service provides basic diagnostic, medical, and surgical services.
These include:
- Screening and treatment for common eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease
- Evaluation of patients who may have visual loss or complaints, but do not have a diagnosis
- Glasses and basic contact lens prescriptions (more complex contact lens prescriptions may require a separate appointment to ensure we can spend enough time with the patient to match the best lens to his/her eye)
The Comprehensive Eye Service may also act as the entry point to UF Health Eye subspecialty care for patients needing specific additional medical or surgical services.
