About Casey J Beal

My name is Dr. Beal and I am a pediatric ophthalmologist. I work as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at UF Health. I love being able to make a positive impact on those around me. Being a pediatric ophthalmologist allows me to improve children’s vision for their long lifetime ahead.

I completed my medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, followed by an internship at Presbyterian Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. I then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and UT Southwestern. I am a member of several professional associations, including the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

I see myself as a teacher. I enjoy teaching my patients and their families about their eye conditions and ways to improve them. I also enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians. I also strive to work as a team with my patients and their families to create collaborative plans to engage the patient and set goals for their improvement. In my spare time I enjoy being with my family in the outdoors. My favorite activities are hiking and camping.
